Down & In:

The River Retreat

Craving connection? Longing for a late summer reset? Join us for Down & In: The River Retreat, a one-day retreat where you’ll return to Self and embody the wisdom of the Earth.

Summer is fun, but when we’re busy jumping from boat days to mountain bike rides to music on the beach, it’s easy to lose ourselves in the chaos. Co-hosted by Jess Floum and Sarah Dittmore, Down & In is a one-day retreat steeped in the magic of the Yuba River. Through embodied movement and connection with the Spirits of the Land, you’ll move out of the head and return to the Self, traveling down into the body, where you’ll deepen your sense of presence and immerse yourself in the wisdom of the Earth.

Retreat Itinerary

Begin Your Journey
Our day starts with light snacks, including fresh fruit and homemade muffins as we arrive and settle in. Then, revel in a grounding yoga flow led by Jess, designed to help you drop into your body and awaken to the wisdom within. This mindful practice sets the tone for a day of self-discovery and connection, opening your heart and mind to the experiences ahead.

Nourish Your Body
After yoga, enjoy a delicious, homemade, locally-sourced meal at Fairly Grounded Farm. This nourishing feast not only delights your senses but also supports local agriculture, fostering a deeper connection to the land and community.

Embrace Nature's Wisdom
Following our meal, we’ll journey to the enchanting Yuba River, where Sarah will guide us through a meditation to connect with the Spirits of the Land. This session offers tangible practices for tuning into the lessons and joy that the Yuba River provides, helping you to awaken to nature’s wisdom during our time at the river.

Play and Integrate
The afternoon invites you to embrace the transformative energy of the Yuba River, integrating the morning’s practices with embodied play in the river’s cleansing and refreshing waters. This time at the river is an opportunity to feel into the lessons of the Earth, deepening your connection with Mother Nature and yourself while experiencing the deep magic of the Yuba River.

Extend the Experience
The following day, deepen your connection further by joining Sarah and Jess at Fairly Grounded Farms for an optional Dharma Day where you’ll spend the day working on the farm! This experience of tending the land enhances your understanding and relationship with the Earth, making the retreat’s lessons even more meaningful and enduring.
